S.O.A.P. 30 Day Challenge – Day #10, September 10, 2023 “The Blessing of Today.”

S. Lamentations 3:21-23 (NIV) “Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope; Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”

O. Jeremiah had experienced afflictions and oppression (his soul was downcast), yet he is reminded that God’s compassions are new every morning. Every day the sun comes up and there are new opportunities. As someone once said, “Yesterday ended at midnight.” Today with the Lord is a new day filled with hope.

A. What a great today. Despite life’s troubles, pain, and sorrows, that can all end at midnight. The sun is going to come up. A new day dawns on us to thank the Lord, trust in Him and to make today a blessing.

P. Thank you Lord for all the experiences we have in life. Despite our pain and afflictions, the Lord’s mercies (compassions) are new every morning. Every day comes new opportunities. Today is a blessing. It brings hope. Holy Spirit fill me and guide me to praise you for today and to live today to the fullest. To the Glory and Praise of Jesus.

S.O.A.P. 30 Day Challenge – Day #9, September 9, 2023 “Remain Faithful-Your Testimony Stands.”

S. Revelation 14:12-13 (NIV) “This calls for patient endurance on the part of the people of God who keep His commands and remain faithful to Jesus. Then I heard a voice from heaven say, ‘write this – blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.’ ‘Yes’, says the Spirit, ‘they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them.’”

O. This is another call to God’s church throughout times of persecution, but especially during the great tribulation, to hold steady knowing that a martyr’s testimony outlasts their martyrdom.

A. Persecution can come in many forms – physical leading to death, mental leading to fear, intimidation, despair, grief, etc. Regardless I am assured that if I and other believers endure, then our testimony for the Lord will outlast the actual persecution.

P. Thank you Lord for the encouragement to stand firm. I think of 1 Corinthians 15:58 “...Stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.”  Holy Spirit, fill me and guide me to stand firm because I know that our work for the Lord is not for nothing. In Jesus’ name@

S.O.A.P. 30 Day Challenge – Day #8, September 8, 2023 “God Is Our Ultimate Security.”

S. Psalm 48:14 (NIV) “For this God is our God for ever and ever; He will be our guide even to the end.”

O. The Psalmist reflects on the greatness of God who is worthy of our praise. He considers all that God has done to strengthen and protect them from their enemies. He expresses confidence that God will continue to lead them.

A. What a wonderful reminder that God loves us so much, He has given us Jesus. Because of the cross, we have great protection and the assurance of eternal life with God in Christ Jesus.

P. Thank you Lord for your Word. Thank for loving us and for sending Jesus to give us a salvation even better than a mighty fortress. In Jesus we have safety and security. In Jesus we have truly the best and mightiest of fortresses. I praise you and thank you in the name of Jesus.
