S.O.A.P. 30 Day Challenge – Day #7, September 7, 2023 “Living in Jesus’ Complete Victory.”

S. Revelation: 12:7-9 (NIV) “Then war broke out in Heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. The great dragon was hurled down – that ancient serpent called the devil or Satan, who leads the whole earth astray.”

O. John writes and explains that Satan was not strong enough to overpower the angel Michael – so he is now on earth with his fallen angels (demons) attempting to lead people astray. He does all he can to oppress believers and hinder the work of God.

A. What good news – (not that Satan oppresses us) but that Jesus has given us the victory (v.11). We not only win in the end, but we can have victory every day until that time. I will continue to claim the victory by walking in faith and placing my dependance upon Jesus. I will continue to ask the Holy Spirit to fill me and to guide me and, in His strength, I will RESIST the devil (James 4:7).

P. Thank you Lord Jesus for achieving for us not only the ultimate win – but for the daily victories we can experience. Holy Spirit, fill me and guide me with wisdom, faith, and boldness to resist the devil, knowing when I do, he will flee.

S.O.A.P. 30 Day Challenge – Day #6, September 6, 2023 “Reaching Jews for Jesus.”

S. Revelation: 11-34 (NIV) “And I will appoint my two witnesses, and they will prophecy for 1,260 days, clothed in sack cloth. They are “the two olive trees” and the two lampstands, and “they stand before the Lord of the earth.”

O. The “two witnesses” are best understood as the dynamic end times evangelists to Jews and who give their lives in martyrdom. The “olive tree” and “lampstand” reference may have a reference to the temple of God – lighting the way and blessing those who respond. They preach and minister to the Jewish people of which a great number will embrace the gospel. When their work is finished, they will be killed but then resurrected and go up to heaven.

A. God is constantly reaching out to His people Israel (they currently do not enjoy national privilege as they once did – c.f. Romans 9-11). But Paul says, “For I am not ashamed of the Gospel because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes; first to the Jew; then to the Gentile” Romans 1:16 (NIV). This is why I pray and support Jewish evangelism. That they will come to know Jesus now and be spared these difficult end times events.

P. Thank you Lord for your word today. Thank you for continuing to teach me about the people of Israel and that I should pray for them to embrace Jesus as their Messiah, Lord, and Savior. Holy Spirit fill me and lead me to continue to pray and support Jewish evangelism. In Jesus’ name.

S.O.A.P. 30 Day Challenge – Day #5, September 5, 2023 “The Mystery of God Will Be Accomplished.”

S. Revelation 10:7 (NIV) “But in the days when the seventh angel is about to sound his trumpet, the mystery of God will be accomplished, just as He announced to His servants, the prophets.”

O. Mysteries were secrets preserved in heaven and revealed to the writer. Here the mystery is that God has won the victory over the forces of evil and will reign forever and ever.

A. God has won the victory in Jesus. I’m thankful for the victory we have in Jesus and that some day all will realize this (whether it’s before the final judgment or during the judgment). There will be a day when every knee will bow, and every tongue confess Jesus is Lord.

P. Thank you Lord that the battle has been won and the victory is secured.  Thank you that I and those that have already placed their lives in Jesus have your power to live victorious lives over the enemy because of the victory Jesus has won. I pray that more people who are far from you will realize this before it’s too late. My prayer is that many will confess Jesus as Lord because they’ve placed their faith in Him and not as a matter of final confession, acknowledging that they missed the opportunity. I pray and ask this in Jesus’ name.
