Day 7 January 15, 2022
Prayer Focus: Faith for 2022
Having a faith that has a target. A faith that sees something.
What language does God speak? Dreams and visions.
Hebrews 11:1 (NIV) Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
Faith is Sure and Certain
Opposite of faith is unsure and not certain.
What are you believing for 2022? If you’re uncertain, you lack faith.
Today I want you to get certain.
Vague prayers get vague answers.
Clear prayers, sure prayers, certain prayers get clear answers.
We need to “spoke” the unspoken prayer request.
James 4:2 (NIV)2 You desire but do not have, so you kill. You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask God.
Over 20x the Bible says we should ask.
How to get a specific, sure, clear goal for your faith?
1. Be Passionate.
Jeremiah 29:13 (NIV)13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
2. Be Persistent.
Keep on praying and don’t give up. You will reap.
Galatians 6:9 9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
3. Be Precise.
Pray for my family to be healthy, strong, and serving God. Get as specific as you can.
George Mueller the great 19th century evangelist, who was famous for specific prayers with specific answers - all dated.
4. Be positive!
“If it be thy will.” But it’s already in His word, it is His will.
Mark 11:24 (NIV) 24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
5. Be Praiseful.
He will do it!
Phil 4:6-7 (NIV) 24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
I am thankful before I submit my requests and after.
