S. Acts 16:10 “After Paul had seen the vision, we got ready at once to leave for Macedonia, concluding that God had called us to preach the gospel to them.”
O. Twice in this passage (16:6-10) Paul and his ministry team were kept by the Holy Spirit from preaching in Asia and in Bithynia. Then Paul has a vision of a man in Macedonia asking him to go there. Paul and his team determined that God was calling them there.
A. Sometimes God closes doors and at the same time opens another door of ministry opportunity.
We should not be discouraged about closed doors; rather, we should be ready and excited for the open door that God is about to reveal to us.
P. Thank you Father for calling us and gifting us. Thank you for preparing us to serve you by ministering to others. Holy Spirit fill us and guide us to not be discouraged by a closed door, rather, to be ready, prepared and excited for the new door of open opportunity that the Father has for us. In Jesus’ name!
