21 Days of Prayer - Day 3 - The Ezra Fast - January 7, 2020

DAY 3 - January 7, 2020

Prayer Encouragement:  Keep persisting .. don’t give up.

Daniel 10  21 days of battling..  Daniel had prayed for 21 days and finally an angel (described as a man from God) came to Daniel to assure him he had heard his prayer from the first day, but the Prince of Persia had detained him in battle for the past 21 days.

So we, like Daniel, should know that God hears our prayers and He is battling a spiritual warfare for us.

The Ezra Fast

Restoration of What was stolen

I remember a time in which my Covey Franklin Planner was stolen. It had money, my credit cards, social security, drivers license and cash. I felt compromised, violated and upset.

That’s what the Devil tries to do to us in life..

Jesus says we have a thief that comes to steal, kill or destroy. John 10:10

Prayer is communion with God and confrontation with the devil. We enter spiritual warfare to take back what the enemy was stolen from us.

Ezra was bringing back from Babylon 7500 pounds of Gold and 25 tons of silver. On the way there were robbers and  thieves (Chapter 7)

Ezra 8:21 (NIV)  21 There, by the Ahava Canal, I proclaimed a fast, so that we might humble ourselves before our God and ask him for a safe journey for us and our children, with all our possessions

The enemy is trying to steal your journey, you and your family and your possessions.

Ezra 8:23 (NIV) 23 So we fasted and petitioned our God about this, and he answered our prayer.

We’re going to take back what the devil has stolen from us.

How? Turn your face back to Him.

Zechariah 9:12 (NLT)  12

Come back to the place of safety,

all you prisoners who still have hope!

I promise this very day

that I will repay two blessings for each of your troubles.

Pray in the authority .. the name of Jesus! The name of Jesus, the power of the cross and the authority of God’s word.
