S.O.A.P. 30 Day Challenge – Day #11 February 11, 2024 “Reaching Jews for Jesus.”

S.O.A.P. 30 Day Challenge – Day #11 February 11, 2024 “Reaching Jews for Jesus.”

S. Acts 18:7-8 (NIV) “…Then Paul left the synagogue and went next door to the house of Titus Justus, a worshipper of God. Crispus, the synagogue leader, and his entire household believed in the Lord, and many of the Corinthians who hard Paul believed and were baptized.”

O. Paul had a passion for reaching his people – the Jewish people – for Jesus. Though he was sent to the Gentiles, his pattern was that he always went to the Jews in that local vicinity to share Jesus with them. The Lord blessed his ministry (I think) because of that. Paul writes in Romans 1:16 “for I am not ashamed of the Gospel of God for it is the power of salvation unto all who believe, to the Jew first and then to the Gentile.”

A.I will continue to pray for Israel – God’s people, that they might come to know Jesus as their Messiah, Savior, and Lord. I will further continue to tach my church this and to support Jewish evangelism.

P. Thank you Lord for Paul’s passion and example of sharing the Gospel to all people – especially to the Jewish people. Holy Spirit fill me and guide me to continue to pray and support taking the Gospel to all people – especially to the people of Israel. In Jesus’ name.

S.O.A.P. 30 Day Challenge – Day #10 February 10, 2024 “Connecting People To Jesus.”

 S. Acts 17:22-23 (NIV) “…I see that in every way you are very religious. For as I walked around and looked carefully at your objects of worship, I even found an altar with this inscription, To an unknown God. So, you are ignorant of the very thing you worship – and that what I am going to proclaim to you.”

O. Paul looked for common ground with people he shared Christ with. He used that which people were familiar with to point them to Jesus.

A.I think this is such a great way to connect people to Jesus. I will continue to do this as well – to illustrate using examples from things people already know to – introducing them to Jesus whom they may not know.

 P. Thank you Lord for this word today. Thank you for Paul’s example of finding common ground with people to connect them to Jesus. Holy Spirit, fill me and guide me to use examples and illustrations from my life and our culture to point people to Jesus. In Jesus’ name..

S.O.A.P. 30 Day Challenge – Day #9 February 9, 2024 “Follow The Open Doors.”

S. Acts 16:6-10 (NIV) 6 Paul and his companions traveled throughout the region of Phrygia and Galatia, having been kept by the Holy Spirit from preaching the word in the province of Asia. 7 When they came to the border of Mysia, they tried to enter Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus would not allow them to. 8 So they passed by Mysia and went down to Troas. 9 During the night Paul had a vision of a man of Macedonia standing and begging him, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.” 10 After Paul had seen the vision, we got ready at once to leave for Macedonia, concluding that God had called us to preach the gospel to them.

O. At times God may close “doors” of serving Him in certain areas or at certain times. Yet, if we will continue to serve and trust Him, He will open doors of service in areas or times we didn’t think of or imagine possible.

A.I will continue to serve the Lord regardless of the times I may encounter a closed door. I know that if I will persist and not quit, He will open doors of opportunity to share His Word and preach the gospel of Jesus.  As Paul wrote in Galatians 6:9 “And let us not growing wearing in doing good. For at the right time we will reap a harvest if we do not quit.”

P. Thank you Lord for your Word today. Holy Spirit fill me and guide me to more opportunities to share your word with others – in Jesus’ name.
