S.O.A.P. 30 Day Challenge – Day #16, September 16, 2023 “The Blessings of Obedience.”

S. Psalm 128:1-2 (NIV) “Blessed are all who fear the Lord, who walk in obedience to Him. You will eat the fruit of your labor; blessings and prosperity will be yours.”

O. The Psalmist reflects upon the blessings of God for those who are in awe of Him and obey Him. He then describes such blessings as a fruitful family (wife and children all themselves fruitful).

A. What a great word for today. I do pray for this for our own family. I pray that my walk with the Lord will be so good and consistent that I will experience the blessings of a very fruitful family. I pray that for some of my adult kids that this might yet come to fruition.

P. Thank you Lord for this word today. I will continue to hold you in awe and reverence. I will continue to trust the Holy Spirit to lead me into obedience – and I pray that much fruit will come from my life and that of my family. I pray and ask this in Jesus’ name.

S.O.A.P. 30 Day Challenge – Day #15, September 15, 2023 “Forget the Past in God’s Presence.”

S. Ezekiel 39:25-26 (NIV) “Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says, ‘I will now restore the fortunes of Jacob and will have compassion on all the people of Israel, and I will be zealous for my Holy name. They will forget their shame and all the unfaithfulness they showed toward me when they lived in safety in their land with no one to make them afraid.”

O. At a time in the future, God will compassionately restore Israel – They will forget their shame and unfaithfulness. It seems when we are in God’s presence experiencing His favor, we do not think about our past – we enjoy the Blessing of His presence.

A. I look forward to the future and enjoying His presence – forgetting the past life of failure, sin, and shame. Yet, I also know if I will put my thoughts on Him and worship Him now, I can at least momentarily forget my failures and enjoy the Blessing of being in His presence.

P. Thank you Lord for your word today. Thank you for enjoying who you are and that I can forget my failures, sin, and shame. I desire to be immersed in worshipping you. In Jesus’ name.

S.O.A.P. 30 Day Challenge – Day #14, September 14, 2023 “God Breathes Life into Death.”

S. Ezekiel 37:12b (NIV) “… I am going to open your graves and bring you up from them. I will bring you back to the land of Israel. Then you my people will know that I am the Lord, when I open your graves and bring you up from them.”

O. God sees Israel as a valley of dry bones – yet He is able to raise them up, breathe life into them and cause them to live again. In a similar way, I believe God is able to do that in the areas of our lives that seem dead.

A. If God has done this before, I know He can do it again. I am believing God for what I know He cand do. He can and will take the areas of my life that seem dead (or going nowhere) and bring life to them, so that they might come alive.

P. Thank you Lord for your Word. Thank you, that you are able and willing to breathe life into the areas of my life that seem dead. I am trusting you Lord to do this – Bring to life the hopes, dreams, and visions you have given to me that sometimes “seem” dead. You have done this before; I’m asking you to do this again.  I pray this in Jesus’ name.
