Today we are praying for revival! The word revival means "making alive again.”
Our scripture passage is from Isaiah 64:1-3 (NIV) “Oh, that you would rend the heavens and come down,
that the mountains would tremble before you! 2 As when fire sets twigs ablaze and causes water to boil,
come down to make your name known to your enemies and cause the nations to quake before you!
3 For when you did awesome things that we did not expect, you came down, and the mountains trembled before you”
How to have revival? It begins in each one of us. Perhaps this thought, “When a HUNGER for God meets a HUMBLE heart and the result is a HARVEST (miracles and souls).
So I ask God to send it (revival)down. God understands sending or coming down. He came down in the form of flesh (Incarnation, Jesus, Emmanual John 1:14). God loves to come down to be with His people.
Revival starts with me - in my heart and life and moves out from there.
So let’s pray that God will come down in my life, my marriage, my family, my kids, my community, my church, my state and my country. So let’s pray that we can be a one person revival. It starts in me (us) and makes a difference in the world.
Whenever God comes down, things happen.
if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14 NIV).
Lord, come down and bring revival in every area of my life.
