Today our thoughts go toward praying for the lost.. praying for those who have not yet received Jesus Christ as their Savior..
Salvation is God’s greatest desire.
1) Reaching the Lost was Jesus’ mission.
Luke 19:10
10 For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”
2) Reaching the Lost is the heart of God.
Luke 15:4-7
4 “Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? 5 And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders 6 and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’ 7 I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.
God’s heart is going after even just 1. He doesn’t desire any to perish.
3) Reaching the Lost should be our mission.
Matthew 9:37-38
37 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. 38 Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”
May we at Better Life Church be the workers and may God send more to reach the lost in our community.
Pray that the Father would draw them to Jesus.
John 8:44
44 You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
God loves these more than we do. Pray and place them in God’s hands and that God will do a work in their lives.
Pray that God would blind the spirit that blinds their minds.
Acts 26:18
18 to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’
Pray that God would loose the Spirit of Adoption on those that don’t yet know Him.
Romans 8:15
15 The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship.[a] And by him we cry, “Abba,[b] Father.”
Pray that people would see not just the church or religion, but they would see Jesus. Pray that God might use us in this way.
Matthew 9:38
Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”
Pray that God would loose the Spirit of Revelation and Redemption.
Ephesians 1:17
17 I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit[a] of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.
